The Piedmont Police Department offers a variety of services and programs as part of its Crime Prevention Program.  Officers involved in the program fulfill daily assignments at regular duties such as that of a patrol officer or investigator and conduct crime prevention programs,when availible, in addition to these duties. The programs provided are roughly divided into two different catagories based on their intended audiences.

Adult Programs

The Piedmont Police Department can provide a guest speaker to address your civic or church group and can provide educational presentations which include:

• Neighborhood Watch Programs
• Traffic Safety
• Personal Safety
• Not My Kid (drug program)
• Internet Safety
• Other topics upon request

Youth Programs

The Piedmont Police Department can provide a guest speaker to address your school, day care, or youth organization and can provide educational presentations which include:

• McGruff the Crime Dog
• Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention
• Police Station Tours
• Police K9 Visits
• Traffic Safety
• Bicycle Safety
• Other topics upon request

Should you be interested in requesting one of our Crime Prevention Programs, please use the request form located at the right of this page.  Please make your request several weeks in advance so that we will have the time to properly prepare for the presentation.  While we may not be able fulfill all requests due to the dynamic nature of our profession, we will make our best effort to fulfill your request.
